    Estos valores son referenciales y corresponden al año 2022, por tanto podrían ser reajustados el 2023.

    - Matrícula anual (o arancel básico): $153.000.- pesos chilenos. Se puede pagar al contado o con facilidades de pago de hasta 2 cuotas. El Magíster en Ciencias Sociales dura dos años por tanto, cada estudiante debe pagar una matrícula cada año.

    - Arancel total: (Válido por los dos años): 3.289.000 pesos chilenos, válido por los 4 semestres Se puede pagar al contado o con facilidades de pago de hasta 20 cuotas mensuales.

    - El Programa de Magíster en Ciencias Sociales, mención Patrimonio o Intervención Social se encuentra acreditado por 4 años por la Comisión Nacional de Acreditación (CNA) desde el 3 de noviembre de 2022 hasta el 3 de noviembre de 2026.

    • Objectives:

    General objective:

    The program is oriented to generate solid capacities to carry out research in Social Sciences and specialists around the study of the material and immaterial heritage and the processes of social intervention in contemporary societies.

    Specific objectives:

    - To implement research programs on relevant problems in their respective area of ​​expertise (Heritage or Social Intervention).

    - To design and implement programs aimed at enhancing the value of tangible and intangible heritage, as well as social intervention from a social and cultural transdisciplinary understanding.

    - To train specialists in heritage with solid theoretical-methodological tools that allow them to recognize the importance of cultural resources, promote their conservation and the development of cultural management and dissemination projects. A multidisciplinary perspective and the study of regional cases will be privileged.

    - To develop specific competences related to the design and implementation of social intervention strategies and techniques in the face of emerging problems in contemporary society.

    • Admission profile:

    The applicant must be in possession of an academic degree or professional degree in one the disciplines of the social sciences such as: Social Work, Anthropology, Sociology, Education, etc., or in possession of the Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s or professional degree in another discipline complementary to the specializations of the Master (Heritage or Social Intervention); either by their curricula or by the characteristics of the professional practice of the applicant.

    • Graduation profile:

    The general and specific abilities that have been developed before the students are the following:

    - Ability to develop a research in Social Sciences in accordance with ethical principles that safeguard the rights of research subjects.

    - Ability to use technological tools to search, select and use information.

    - Ability to work in interdisciplinary research teams.

    - Ability to disseminate and communicate the scientific knowledge produced in the framework of their research.

    - Competencies to understand from an interdisciplinary perspective the problems associated with the study of Heritage or Social Intervention in today’s society.

    The specific abilities that the student must develop are some of the following:

    - Ability to design, implement and evaluate research projects from a transdisciplinary perspective in the field of Social Sciences.

    - Ability to make decisions with rigorous criteria and validity in the phases of the research process in Social Sciences.

    - Ability to analyze critically the various theoretical, methodological and epistemological theories that support research in the field of heritage and social intervention.

    - Ability to build innovative research strategies that meet quality criteria of scientific research.

    - Ability to produce relevant and appropriate scientific knowledge about the social reality researched.
