Cooperation agreements

The Universidad de Magallanes has collaboration agreements with national and international institutions that facilitate the exchange of experiences and technology transfer in the field of research.

The university recently signed a collaboration agreement with the National Antarctic Institute of Chile (INACH) that power and strengthens the Antarctic research that the institution performs. In this same area the participation of the university at the International Antarctic Institute (IAI), based in Tasmania, improve the sub-Antarctic and Antarctic research and exchange of students and researchers. Two other agreements of great importance are those signed with the University System of Alaska and the University of Fairbanks with which it is intended to perform complementary studies in Arctic and Antarctic ecosystems, climate change and energy efficiency, involving the University of Tromsø in Norway. With this later institution will be made projects related to indigenous peoples, botany, telemedicine and climate change areas.
