CIGA and the group of Scouts San Miguel invite to an online talk about Antarctic

This Saturday 25^th of April, the group of scout San Miguel together with CIGA-UMAG, invite at an online talk given by the geologist Joaquin Bastias, who will talk about topics relates to Antarctic geology.

Is important to mention that this activity is in commemoration to the Earth Day. On the other side, the group of Scout San Miguel has accomplished with all the requirements to obtain during the 2021 the “Sello Antártico Institucional” (Institutional Antarctic Seal) that the Universidad de Magallanes confers through the Centro de Investigación GAIA–Antártica (GAIA–Antartica Research Center) and its unit of entailment with it environment[JPP1] .

The activity will be developed through the online platform Zoom. These are the instructions given by the organization committee to access to the talk:

• You can access to Zoom by using the App in your phone or your computer.
• Enter with your microphone in silence; the use of your camera is optional.
• Use the chat to communicate during the talk.
• This talk is organized to scientific and non-scientific audience. You do not need previous knowledge in the topic.
• This activity is organized as a part of activities related to the “Ruta del Iceberg” that as group we coordinate in order to obtain the “Sello Antártico Institucional” that Universidad de Magallanes confers.
• Join the meeting in Zoom.

• Write your questions in the chat, there will be a moment to answer all the questions.
